Velabsu began in 2023 as a passion project — a small web app to organize a personal music collection. Friends started sharing it. Then strangers. Then the idea grew into something bigger.

Required for the site to function — these keep you signed in and let core features like playback and playlist saving work. Velabsu cannot function properly without these, so they can't be turned off individually.
Remembers things like your Autoplay setting, volume level, and recently played songs, so you don't have to reconfigure them every visit. This data is stored in your browser's localStorage and stays on your device — we don't send it to our servers.
Set by Supabase (our authentication provider) to keep your session active and secure between page loads. These use short-lived JWT tokens rather than storing your password.

Uploaders are solely responsible for ensuring they hold the necessary rights to any music, cover art, or lyrics they upload. Velabsu does not claim ownership of user-uploaded content and does not independently verify licensing before content is published.
